About Poe o Honua Figures

Welcome to Po`e `o Honua (People of Earth). This site features reproductions of original miniatures sculpted and painted by Richard Kapuaala. These figures are sculpted in the scales they represent. To date the available scales are 1:20.3 and we are hoping to offer one figure in 1:22 scale by February 2008.

For the most part all figures are sculpted from historical subjects that are either associated with railroading or had an influence on the sculptor. Each piece is carefully researched from photographic records as well as any written or oral his torical information that the sculptor can acquire.

None of the piece offered on this site is massed produced. Each resin piece sold is casted from a master mold and hand painted by the sculptor. Since molds don' t last for ever (approximately 30 figures per mold) each mold is retired and a new master mold is made. This new mold is often different from its predecessor as the sculptor is constantly adding details that are revealed to him from additional research.

You can order figures online by clicking on the Orderform link to your left. You r purchase is secured through paypal whether you are using a credit card, or you r paypal account.

To use the form you will need to make sure that Java and popups are enabled on y our browser. The orderform has a thumbnail image of a custom painted piece. To v iew more information on the piece and the subject click on the thumb nail.

Below the thumb nail are a list of available figures. To view each figure click on the subtitle in between the input field and the price. A window will open displaying an image of the figure. If you wish to order that figure, enter the number of figures 1 to 9 in the input field and either order additional figures, or scroll down to the check out button at the bottom of the page.

The Check Out button will open your initial invoice page. Select the shiping that meets your requirements and click the Calculate Total button below the total f ield.

After you press the Calculate Total button a new window will open which is your receipt. You should save a copy of this reciept for your records and then click on the PayPal button at the bottom.

Your order will ship on Friday of the week you ordered unless you order after 8: 00 A.M Pacific Time on Friday. In that event the order will ship the next Friday .
